When we signed up for the Link2Liberty name, the .com wasn't available... even though the person (or company) that had it wasn't doing anything with it. It was likely an "attractive" web name that they figured they could make money off of if someone really wanted it.
Well, we weren't really wanting to pay more than we needed to for the site- so we passed on it. Then the emails from the owner(s) started up with "special deals" if we wanted to buy. Knowing that they would want to make a pretty penny on it- we passed again.
Finally today I caved a bit and sent an email back to find out how much they were asking for it. Upon a little research found out the the registration expired yesterday- so I logged into our domain registration profile and snatched the link2liberty.com domain for $12.99.
It feels good sometimes to catch someone else asleep at the switch...
As for the official conversion to link2liberty.com- will happen soon.
