We have been working to establish this site for almost a month now trying to create "content" before we start to "advertise" it to the community. As we've done this there have been 5-7 unique visitors a day to the site. Until recently we've been in the 20's- and today (Friday, August 17)- we've bumped over 60!- all with little or no advertising!
When our family moved to Liberty Twp in 2006 we had an awful time getting connected in a new community after leaving one we lived in our whole lives (30 years). Most in the community were coming from the same background. We didn't know what events were going on, where to meet people, what churches were around, how to connect, etc...- we would have loved a similar site to help us not only connect, but know what's going on. Liberty Twp isn't like a Mason or Lebanon, with a Main Street district as a community gathering area, so it takes a lot of individual initiative to get the connections unless you have "help."
We would like to solicit your help- this is a site that will post for free (with some moderation and review) submitted community events (Mom's Clubs, churches, township events, school announcements, etc...) or anything that could be helpful in getting local residents connected to our Community. This site is designed to help be a link to the community for events, announcements, opinion, and ... "some" news. We're not a news organization and won't strive to be. That wreck that happened a few blocks over... yea, check the news sites for that. But also, submit to us your ideas for how we can improve it.
